Australia Posts Largest Fleet Tender. Ever.

When the pandemic hit in 2020, parcel volumes across Australia surged. Australia Post moved quickly to meet demand. It extended trading hours across 500+ locations, opened 60 new and repurposed facilities, flew 18 dedicated freighters and brought on 5,000 additional workers.

It also needed to move its traditional "postie on a bike" into vans. The result was Australia Post's largest ever single fleet tender: 2,774 additional vans, all needing to be fitted out and on the road fast.

The solution

Autosafe won the van fit-out contract and took it from concept to completion. We designed, prototyped, delivered and installed a full fit-out on every vehicle:

The result

All 2,774 vans were fitted within six months, ahead of schedule. It is the largest fleet rollout of its kind delivered in Australia over that timeframe.
